You know the lanterns Rapunzel wanted to leave her tower so badly to see?

"You mean the lantern thing they do for the princess?"

I found out from a source on Tumblr that Thailand lights thousands of those babies in the sky on New Year's Eve. Disney must've gotten some of their inspiration from this particular tradition for Tangled.

Recently, Jacqkie went on the Nuffnang company cruise to Phuket and Singapore. She and the Nuffies launched lanterns into the sky as well, in Phuket I assume.

Then she tagged me in these two photos on Facebook, probably because she's my best friend I was the biggest Rapunzel fan she knew. And the comments went a little something like this.

"I hope this was for me. >:|"

"Haha I wished for 'happy days'!"

"With me? >:|"

I hope she wasn't wishing for the TV show. To happy days.
