I know this should have gone up a long time ago (like, AUGUST) but yeah I wasn't very much in the mood for videos lately. Anyhoo, David Choi in Singapore. He was a great performer live, and so simple and modest.
This was for one of David's Timbre shows, on the 18th of August. Before the show started, Marcus and I stood near the kitchen cos' it was about the only space we could get (since we arrived quite late). Marc had gone to the bar to get drinks, and he left me minding the spot, when David came out of the kitchen to go on stage. He was friendly to everyone standing in the pathway and when he passed me, he had said "Hi!"
I was like..."Hi!" with the most awkward smile I can ever imagine myself giving anyone. He caught me totally by surprise. I was just minding the spot and my own business while Marc got the booze. Good job, Ms Social Creature.
Also my first time at Timbre @ Substation. I have only been to Timbre @ The Arts House by Boat Quay when David (Cai, not Choi), Pei Jen and I went there to drink to Dave's last week at work. I preferred Substation over The Arts House cos' it was smaller, cosier and homier.
